The client wished to turn a formal dining room in to a more user-friendly space for year round enjoyment. One of the warmest rooms in the house, it naturally leant itself to becoming more of a Snug - a relaxing, comfortable environment for TV watching and crossword puzzle solving.

To incorporate the client’s existing antique furniture with new soft furnishings, decorative lighting, mirrors and artwork, all in keeping with the age and style of the room
COLOUR PALETTE
Soft, light, shades to offset the dark wood of the antique furniture (celadon, sand and antique cream), using chenille, silk and linen fabrics and introducing pattern and texture through plaids, embroidery, hand stitching and tapestry
